BANNER ADVERTISING
Banner advertisements are now being accepted
for the various BioGroup web pages. The web site is currently receiving
about 100,000 hits per month, which is equivalent to over 1,000,000 hits
per year. Many visitors to the site return to use the nearly 2,000 links
to related Internet resources (BioLinks)
or the technical paper archive (BioReferences).
Of course, those who visit the web site have an interest in bioremediation
science/engineering and related environmental topics, giving advertisers
direct exposure to their target market.
BANNER ADVERTISEMENT COSTS
In addition to placing banners on the web site, banner advertisers are
permitted to post limited product/service announcements to the listserver.
As you likely know, BioGroup posting
guidelines strictly prohibit subscribers from posting advertisements
to the Listserver. This guideline is strictly enforced, via the moderated
Listserver format, so that subscribers e-mail boxes are not overwhelmed
with unsolicited advertisements. Banner advertisers, as BioGroup supporters,
are permitted limited product/service announcements as follows: Note also there is a Sponsorship Program available.
Sponsor's banners are displayed at the BioGroup home page. In addition,
sponsor information is included in the signature block of each message
processed by our Listserver. Considering that membership exceeds 2,300
worldwide and there are between about 5 to 15 posts per day, that translates
to nearly 35,000 posts each day that contain information about BioGroup

Such announcements should focus on the technical benefits of the advertiser's products/services and should not be overtly commercial. Schaffner Applied BioGeoSciences, LLC. (SAB) reserves the right to revise and/or revoke product/service announcement privileges, as necessary, so that such announcements do not interfere with Listserver objectives.
BANNERS
If your banner is displayed at your home page, we can visit your site to obtain a copy. Otherwise you can provide us with an electronic copy (e.g., gif or jpeg file of about 400 x 40 Pixels). If you do not have a banner, please have your webmaster design one for you. Your banner will be displayed on the respective BioGroup web page, and will be linked to your home page.
Please note that once a banner has been places at a BioGroup web page, subsequent changes will be performed at a unit cost of $75, paid in advance to SAB.
